Without any doubt online food ordering has increased the comfort by allowing customers to order wherever they want and whatever timing they chose. And it is said that in any service business, customer service is everything! Like other online food ordering platforms, Zomato is also known to strive hard to meet the demands of the customers. They are also known to adopt different ways to keep the hungry people happy.
In today’s competitive market dynamics, there is always an uphill battle if you allow your customer service standards to slip. Something similar happened with Zomato which in hope of delivering better service did something hilarious.
The case is related to a customer asking for return of money for a cancelled order. In its reply, the customer care service of the food ordering service, said that he would receive it in four or five working days.
To this, the customer asked what’s the guarantee that it would come. He then asked the customer care service to swear by it.
In its reply, Zomato executive hilariously said, “Maa Kasam” your money will be returned. Here is the screenshot of this conversation.
