Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy is fast inching towards the Rs 100 crore mark. The movie has got every element that makes it a worth watch: be it applause-worthy punch lines or groove-worthy music. The most important part of the movie is its subject – two literally gully (lane)-grown local talents, whose rap-to-riches stories are truly inspiring. The theme of the movie has even inspired many to try their hands at rapping.

Apart from Aalia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, the newcomer Siddhant Chaturvedi has also made an impact with his performance on the cine-lovers. In the movie, Siddhant has played the role of MC Sher, a rapper who as a friend and mentor changed the life of Murad (Ranveer Singh’s character). It was MC Sher’s performance that inspired Murad to break into the gully rap scene.

MC Sher’s popularity also gave rise to several memes in which people wished for a friend like him. Food delivery service Zomato also tried to share its view on the trending topic and tweeted:

Well, everything seems to be fine with the tweet but it was the correlation of elaichi in biryani that grabbed the eyeballs of social media users. In the tweet, Zomato talked about those who don’t like their biryani with elaichi.

However, soon many took to Twitter to take a dig at Zomato. Some even posted the viral video of the Zomato delivery boy tampering the food parcel.

Check out these reactions:
