Kerala Youth Congress has suspended three of its leaders for slaughtering a calf in public and distributing the meat.
As per reports by The Indian Express, members of the Yuva Morcha filed a complaint against Rajeel Makutty, president of Youth Congress Kannur, and a few other members of the party in the matter.
Allegedly, the Youth Congress members slaughtered a male calf in a truck and distributed the meat to the locals to protest against the Central Government’s ban on trade of cattle in the market for the purpose of slaughter.
The video of the act was shared by Kummanam Rajasekharan, Kerala state president of the Bhartiya Janta Party, on Saturday.
