Indian wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt has lashed out at JNU students union president Kanhaiya Kumar for calling Indian Army rapists.

Kumar, who is out in an six months interim bail, had addressed a student’s gathering on International Women’s Day on March 8.

The celebrated wrestler took to Twitter, and said:

This translates to: “some people fed snakes only to let the serpents spew venom against our army brethren”.

Dutt’s tweet also evoked support from the audience:

Taking strong objection on his speech, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha on March 9 filed a complaint in Vasant Vihar police station against Kanhaiya and JNU professor Nivedita Menon saying they made “anti-national” statements in the aftermath of February 9 event.

“Despite the submission of an undertaking before court, Kanhaiya has yet again addressed a gathering of students and uttered poisonous words against the Indian Army, labelling them as rapists of Kashmiri Women,” a BJYM statement said.
