Poor decision making by umpires is not unusual. Some of them like Steve Bucknor earned notoriety for wrong decision making. But ever since the players got the right of DRS (Umpire Decision Review System), they too have been found to be taking the wrong call.
Basically, a DRS enables the player to appeal against a decision by an umpire. Players have a limited number of DRS calls. So, every DRS is precious.
Alas, the Bangladeshi players are of the spendthrift kind.
Bangladesh is playing India in a single Test match at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad.
Virat Kohli was giving the Bangladeshi bowlers a hard time. So when he defended a spin, Mushfiqur Rahim, the Bangladeshi skipper and wicketkeeper, called.
It surprised every commentator, and, possibly, everyone watching at home. Why? Because everyone could see that the ball had clearly hit the bat.
In the end this is where the first day ended:

Rahim should have asked his bowler instead of asking the confused short leg fielder.
