Whosoever thinks that acting is an easy job needs to change the perception. It takes a lot of hard work and practice to bring the best out of a character. When it comes to Bollywood, there are many actors and actresses who are talented but don’t get their share of recognition. Despite having earned much critical acclaim for their performances, these Bollywood actors are labeled as worst Bollywood actors.

Interestingly, there are actors who are blessed with a strong on-screen presence.

Here are  some of the unfortunately underrated people who are considered as the worst Bollywood actors but actually aren’t:

1. Riteish Deshmukh

Riteish Deshmukh is an actor who is best known for his comedy roles. Ever heard of the Grand Masti franchise? Yes, he has been there. He has also worked in the comedy Housefull and the sequels that follow. But trust me when I say this, he has got more than just comedy to offer. For instance, his character (Rakesh Mahadkar) in the movie Ek Villain was much appreciated by the audiences and critics alike. With his intense performance, he proved that he is damn versatile when it comes to acting. In Lai Bhaari (Marathi action film) the actor absolutely did justice to his character and garnered many praises. Therefore he certainly deserves to be among the A-list actors of B-town.

2. Imran Khan

Well, who else remembers Jai Singh Rathore from Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na? We all do! Right? He was the cute and intelligent guy after all. With this movie, Bollywood actor Imran Khan was successful in registering himself in the hearts of the audiences. The movie was quite successful, and he also bagged many praises for his performance in the film. His films like Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu and Delhi Belly were also very well received by the audiences and garnered a positive response from the critics as well. However, later on, characters portrayed by him in other films didn’t bag much critical response. But this doesn’t mean that he has lost his potential at all. Imran was last seen in the movie Katti Batti.

3. Fardeen Khan

Fardeen Khan is certainly one of the most underrated actors in Bollywood. His movie Dev which was directed by Govind Nihalani was much appreciated by the critics. In the film, he shared the screen space with veteran actors such as megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Om Puri. Being able to mark your presence in front of such big names is not a child’s play, but Fardeen did well and portrayed his character with utmost dedication. He is indeed a good actor and deserves much applause.

4. Abhishek Bachchan

Well, being the son of a megastar like Amitabh Bachchan surely comes with a lot of expectations. And Abhishek has surely delivered what was expected of him. Junior Bachchan is among those actors who are sadly underrated. His performances have been phenomenal. For instance, take the example of Mani Ratnam’s directorial Guru, in which Abhishek portrayed the character of Gurukant Desai. The role was quite challenging and required a strong persona. But we are thankful to Abhishek as he portrayed the character with utmost dedication. As expected his performance was perfect in the film and he garnered many praises from the critics. In fact, his performance in other films such as such as Yuva, Sarkar, and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna was also applauded by the critics.

5. Vivek Oberoi

Honestly, when we talk about the Bollywood actors who have a strong on-screen presence, we can not miss Vivek Oberoi. The Grand Masti star marked his debut in 2002 via Ram Gopal Varma’s directorial Company in which his performance was much appreciated. Interestingly, his films Rakhta Charitra and Omkara also got a positive response from the critics. With his apt performances in the films, actor Vivek Oberoi proved that his acting skills are pitch-perfect. Therefore he too deserves a place among the A-list actors of Bollywood.

6. Shreyas Talpade

Shreyas Talpade is an actor who is usually seen portraying comic roles. But with his performances, the actor has proved that he can offer more than comedy. His versatility as an actor is visible in his work. Take the example of his movie Dor, that’s not it, Shreyas received much kudos for his role in Iqbal, and Welcome to Sajjanpur too. His performances have proved that he has tremendous potential as an actor.

7. Akshaye Khanna

Akshaye Khanna has had a good career in the world of Hindi cinema. But it seems that he is also among the stars who are sadly underrated. But like every talented star Akshaye too had proved his potential as an actor through his films. For example, his performance in film Border was very well received by the audiences and critics alike. The actor also bagged many praises for his roles in the film Ittefaq. Recently he was seen in the film Mom and as expected he portrayed his character effortlessly!

It is sad that these actors are considered the worst Bollywood actors. It is important to remember that commercial success is one thing but being able to connect with the viewers and registering yourself in their psyche is different.
