Rangaragini Bhumata Brigader (RBB) leader Trupti Desai, who led a march towards the Shani Shinganapur temple in Maharashtra, has been detained.

She was detained along with 26 other supporters to avoid clash with villagers.

They had entered the premises of the temple but were stopped by locals from offering prayers at the inner sanctum.

Just two days back, Bombay High Court ruled that it is the fundamental right of women to go to all places of worship,

However, according to the temple rituals, women are not allowed to go on the platform that has a five-foot-high black stone worshipped as Lord Shani.

She alleged that police didn’t provide them protection.

She has now stated that she will file an FIR against Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis if he fails to honour the court order.

But social media is criticising her for making a political issue of a social one.
