This Delhi woman took off her clothes out of frustration when the Reserve Bank Of India (RBI) refused to exchange her old currency notes.

According to this woman, she has been coming to the RBI daily with her 2 year-old to change her 4000 rupees, but the bank just kept on telling her the new rules.

The woman’s name is Veena and she stays in the Nangloi area of Delhi. Veena works as a maid and because of this daily torture of going to the bank and returning heart broken, she tried arguing with the bank officials. Veena also claims that the police has physically abused her because of which she took off her clothes out of anger.

According to the police, Veena was not cooperating with them and wasn’t saying anything during the investigation.

Not just in Delhi, no branch of RBI is exchanging old currency all over India. PM Modi, while announcing his demonetization order on 8th Nov., 2016 said that people can get their old notes exchanged from the RBI branches till 31st March, 2017.

Nothing as such is happening. No matter what PM Modi may have said in his speech, RBI has a new set of rules which states that no one is allowed to exchange notes after 31st December, 2016. Only those people will be entertained by the RBI branches who were not in India from 9th November, 2016 to 31st December, 2016.
