A few children were selling balloons outside a McDonald’s restaurant in Gwalior. Manisha Kulshreshtha, a writer and wife of an Air Force officer, took the children inside the restaurant and treated them to burgers and fries but the inhumane way in which the restaurant manager treated her for her act of humanity was horrible.
First, the McDonald’s staff opposed the entry of the poor children inside the restaurant premise. Then, the matter took an ugly turn when the parking gate was locked and Kulshreshtha’s family wasn’t allowed to leave the premises.

Security in-charge of the restaurant noted the number of Manisha’s car and even called the police. A police personnel named Mukesh reached the spot and ordered the gates to be opened, only after which the woman and her family could leave the place.
The way Kulshreshtha and her family were treated for trying to bring smiles to the faces of these children is nothing but rude and uncivilized. There is no reason that poor children shouldn’t be allowed to enter restaurants or treated normally. And the owners or managers of restaurants or any other store for that matter, have no right to stop the poor from entering their premise since no rule permits them to do so!
Manisha Kulshreshtha hasn’t lodged a police complaint against the restaurant or its staff for locking her but has spread a strong word about the entire incident on social media.
