Many times it happens that messages intended for someone go to somebody else by mistake. In that case, people panic and start thinking of ways to deal with it. But now, WhatsApp is close to introducing a “Recall” feature which will give users a five-minute window to revoke misdirected messages.
According to WABetaInfo, the mobile messaging platform has moved closer to launching the feature, reports the Business Standard.
With the help of this feature, users will be able to recall or unsend texts, images, videos, GIFs, documents, quoted messages and even status replies within a five-minute window. The messaging app will enable “Recall” in version 2.17.30+ of the app. The current version of WhatsApp is 2.17.190.
Users will be able to edit only recent messages and not the old ones.
WhatsApp is now available in more than 50 different languages and is being used by almost 1.2 billion monthly active users. It is available in 10 Indian languages. It has 200 million active users in India.
