The Jodhpur court has convicted Salman Khan in 1998 blackbuck poaching case and sentenced him to 5 years in jail and a Rs 10,000 fine. Bollywood’s ‘Bhai’ was directly taken to Jodhpur Central Jail from the court where all arrangements for his arrival had been made.

Jodhpur Central Jail houses three more high profile inmates apart from Salman – Malkhan Singh Vishnoi, Shambhu Lal, and Asaram Bapu. In the jail, Salman will stay in Barrack no. 2 where Asaram Bapu has also been lodged. Salman spent the night of April 5 in the jail and will also have to spend the next night there as his bail plea will be heard by the court on April 7. Salman has already spent a total of 18 days in this jail for the blackbuck poaching case in 1998, 2006 and 2007.

A picture of Salman from inside the jail on April 5 went viral on social media in which he could be seen sitting on a chair in full attitude and got brutally slammed on Twitter for that. Bollywood’s Bhai has been provided many layers of security in jail considering his high profile status and fan following but there are few things that he will have to give up while living in Jodhpur Central Jail.

During his current stay, Salman will be kept alone in a separate cell and will not be allowed to meet anybody. According to media reports, he can meet his family only once in a week while his lawyer could meet him any time as his bail plea is yet to be heard by the court.

Media reports said that Salman refused to eat simple dal-roti served to him in jail and instead accepted Asaram Bapu’s offer to share his food that is sent to him every evening from a nearby Ashram. There is no doubt that Salman has quite a lavish lifestyle. He also follows a strict diet routine under which he takes egg whites, oats, nuts and protein shake for breakfast, eats non-vegetarian food and salad for lunch and soup, vegetable and again non-vegetarian food for dinner. But despite being a hardcore non-vegetarian food lover, Salman will have to give up non-veg food since it is not supplied in jail.

If Salman is not granted bail, he will have to stay in his cell all day long like other inmates and will have to give up all the facilities he had in his lavish apartment. He will not be provided with any extravagant furniture or air conditioner and will instead sleep on a rug spread on the floor under a fan and will get a blanket to cover himself.
