The Indian National Congress (INC), known simply as Congress, is India’s Grand Old Party because of, obviously, its age. The party is 130 years old and will be celebrating its 131st foundation day on December 28, 2016.
There is no denying the fact that a majority of the decades of India’s modern political history since the late 19th century have been shaped, influenced, and directed by the decisions of the party and its leaders. Without a doubt, therefore, the party has been instrumental in steering the country on good or bad roads for most of the nation’s journey.
Some Congress supporters on Twitter thought of holding a ‘pre-birthday bash’ on Twitter.
So they bombarded it with tweets using the Hindi hashtag #अगर_कांग्रेस_ना_होती (If the Congress weren’t there) telling us how India would not have had so many unique things if not for the Congress.
