Afghani model-turned-actress Warina Hussain is all set to make her big Bollywood debut with superstar Salman Khan’s forthcoming production venture, LoveYatri. Besides her, the movie also marks the silver screen debut of Khan’s brother-in-law, Aayush Sharma. While Hindi film heroines wait for years and years to be associated with megastar Salman Khan, Warina Hussain got the great opportunity in her very first movie, and she is indeed quite psyched up about her debut vehicle, slated to roll into theatres on October 5.
Recently, I happened to meet scintillating and extremely demure Warina Hussain at Mumbai’s iconic Mehboob Studio. She looked a little nervous, but the excitement of her first movie being round the corner for grand theatrical release was inconspicuously palpable in her eyes.
When I asked Warina Hussain what was exactly going on her mind when she was on her way to meet superstar Salman Khan for the first time, after clearing the audition, the actresses replied in a mumble:
“The team had a screen test with me and Aayush Sharma. We shot it properly, though the last approval was to be given by Salman Khan. Later, Aayush informed me that at 6:00 pm, I had to be at Galaxy Apartments and I was like okay. While I was on my way to his house, I was thinking what’s going to happen. I obviously had the feeling that it’s a ‘yes’, but you never know as this is my first movie. So, I don’t know how the process in itself worked.”
Warina Hussain went on to add that Salman Khan quite liked her audition and congratulated her on bagging the film. The newcomer also revealed that it was not Khan, but one of her female co-stars who gave her the signing amount for LoveYatri.
“I went to Galaxy Apartments, the whole team was there and the news of me passing the audition was given to me. Salman Sir was also there. He said that he saw my audition and, ‘Congratulation, you are part of our film’. Sonakshi Sinha was also there and she presented me with my signing amount.”
Bankrolled under the banner of Salman Khan Films, LoveYatri is scheduled to hit the marquee on October 5, 2018. The movie is helmed by Abhiraj Minawala who was assistant director on Salman Khan’s 2016 blockbuster, Sultan.
