2019 is the year of the election. The general elections of 2014 saw the change of government and this year’s polls are just around the corner. It seems like the movie industry has also accepted Politics as the new genre for 2019.  We just saw the trailer of The Accidental Prime Minister which is based on the life of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and it has already started the controversy. Then there is Thackrey based on the late Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray. Now, there is a new announcement of a political drama. It is based on the present Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. The film’s first poster was released on January 7. Can you guess who is playing the PM? Imagine Vivek Oberoi as Modi!

Yes, guys, it’s Vivek Oberoi. Tough to imagine him as Modi, right? But you know how Nawazuddin Siddiqui is looking so apt in the Thackeray. That’s how the makeover has done but not in the case of Vivek. The poster of the movie has the image of PM Narendra Modi which is played by Vivek Oberoi. The film will be directed by Omung Kumar, who has earlier directed biopics like Sarabjit and Mary Kom.

Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis released the poster at South Mumbai’s Garware Club House in 23 languages. Well, BJP seems very happy on the announcement!
