Vishal Bhardwaj is known for dramatic stories, but this time, he’s stepping foot into the world of comedy. The ‘Omkara’ and ‘Haider’ director next ‘Pataakha’ stars Radhika Madan, Sanya Malhotra and comedian Sunil Grover. Ever since the official trailer got released, Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Pataakha’ has received positive reviews. Based on Charan Singh Pathik’s short story, ‘Pataakha’ is Sanya Malhotra, who played Aamir Khan’s onscreen daughter Babita in the hit film ‘Dangal’, second outing and the debut of TV star Radhika Medan.
The recently-engaged Priyanka Chopra tweeted the first official poster of Pataakha:

The first poster look of ‘Pataakha’ shows both actresses, Sanya and Radhika, in a rugged and angry avatar. The movie is based on sisterly rivalry, as is obvious.

Did you know that Radhika Madan and Sanya Malhotra were not the first choices for Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Pataakha’?
Yes, neither of the actresses were first choices for the Dedh Ishqiya director! Instead, he wanted to case two Hollywood actresses for the roles!
Do you want to know who were his first choices? They were none other than ‘Kill Bill’ actress Uma Thurman and ‘Spider-Man’ actress Scarlett Johansson!

Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Paatakha’ is about two sisters and Vishal said this about these two Hollywood superstars:
“I wanted to work with Uma Thurman and Scarlett Johansson as sisters in the film as it would have looked so amazing to see them speaking Rajasthani in the film, but sadly, they don’t know how to speak Rajasthani.”
Vishal further said, “I wanted to cast new people in this film because the kind of commitment I was seeking in this film would have been given to me by new actors only.”
‘Pataakha’ also features Sunil Grover in a pivotal role! Look at that trio!
Sunil Grover also launched the new Balma song recently at a multiplex in Mumbai. The song is composed by Vishal himself and Rekha Bhardwaj and Sunidhi Chauhan have lent their voice to it.
