After Hardik Pandya Episode, Virat Kohli’s ‘Sexist’ Remark In An Old Video Has Left Twitterati Fuming

The ongoing sixth season of popular celebrity talk show Koffee with Karan got mired in controversy after Hardik Pandya’s ‘misogynist’ and ‘sexist’ remarks received flak from every quarter on the social media. Pandya had also ‘boasted’ about his ‘scene’ with women and how he casually discussed his sex life with his parents. Soon after people got offended by Pandya’s outrageous remarks, he has to come out for a public apology. The BCCI too has imposed a temporary ban on the cricketer, and sent them back home from Australia where the Indian team is currently playing a three-match ODI series against Australia. Both Pandya and KL Rahul have also been banned from the following series against New Zealand as well.

Amid the outrage, many even asked whether it was right for Indian cricketers to go on shows of such kind. Such is the widespread criticism that not only the two cricketers, even the show host Karan Johar was also held equally responsible for throwing such personal questions about one’s sexual preferences and airing it on national television.

Now just after this episode, an old video of Indian skipper Virat Kohli is now going viral on social media.

The video has been shared by a cricket enthusiast and Australian blogger named Dennis Freedman, Virat Kohli can be seen sharing his blind experience when he went on a blind date with a girl.

When host Anusha Dandekar asked him this question, he said, “I actually went on a blind date which ended in about five minutes. I saw the girl and I ran away.” When asked why he ran away, Kohli replied, “She was ugly”.

Here’s what Twitterati said when the video got circulated on the social media:

Meanwhile, Kohli had not approved of Pandya and Rahul’s remarks and said that his team does not support such behaviour. When Kohli was about the duo, he said, ““From the Indian cricket team point of view, any inappropriate comments that are made in that scenario are something that we definitely don’t support.”
