ESPN global sports fame list is out and India is feeling amazingly happy. A formula was given by the ESPN’s director of sports analytics, Ben Alamar, to rank the sports persons.

The formula was to combine the salary and endorsements with social media following and Google search popularity.

We all know Virat Kohli stole all the charm and came out irresistible in T20 Cricket. Team India’s vice captain, and captain MS Dhoni made India proud by finding a place in the ESPN World Fame 100 rankings.

To everyone’s surprise, Kohli made it among the top ten of the global sports fame list at the 8th position. This definitely is a huge thing in itself.

But the surprise does not end here. Along with Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni also has been ranked among the top 20 sports persons at the 13th position.

This is a proud moment for all of us. Kohli and Dhoni are the only cricketers who made it to the list.

Apart from these two, Sania Mirza is the third Indian at the 41st position on the list.

However, the list was mostly dominated by International footballers, like Cristiano Ronaldo, the world’s top-earning footballer. Only LeBron James, the American basketball star, separated Ronaldo from fellow footballers Lionel Messi and Neymar, who both play for FC Barcelona, La Liga rivals of Ronaldo’s Real Madrid. Tennis legend Roger Federer completed the top five.
