Vinod Kambli was an awesome batsman and a promising talent when he began his career alongside his best buddy Sachin Tendulkar. Their friendship was the talk of the town.
But while Sachin Tendulkar went from being a mere mortal to attaining divinity, Kambli disappeared into oblivion.
For some reason Kambli continues to harbour a bitterness about his friend, and so he posted this tweet in response to another on friendship.
As usual, Twitterati did not like the comment, which they saw like an indirect jibe at the God of Cricket.
@vinodkambli349 still worried about Sachin not including your name in his farwell game?

Some, however, had words of wisdom for the former cricketer.
@vinodkambli349 Boss, i don’t know your problem. You should spit on past and move forward. No one either cares for or remembers number 2.

@vinodkambli349 Best reply to that friend who left u will be to coach ur son so hard that he becomes even greater than that friend of urs !!

Perhaps having learnt a lesson at how unforgiving the social media can be at such remarks, a frustrated Kambli posted this tweet:
“STOP ur Assumptions!!Sachin is my dear friend and will always remain close to my heart!I am perturbed by your off-color remarks.

He has never said why their friendship broke, but this is not the first time that Vinod Kambli pointed an accusatory finger at Sachin.
In an episode of ‘Sach ka Saamna’ Kambli had said that Sachin was responsible for the end of their friendship.
