Clinching his first title in professional career, Indian boxing star Vijender Singh on July 16 won the WBO Asia Pacific Super Middleweight title with a dominating win.
Singh took on former WBC European champion Kerry Hope for his title and systematically dismantled Welsh-born Australian in 10 rounds.
This was Singh’s seventh straight win in the circuit since turning professional last year.
Out of the 7 matches that Singh has been part of so far, this was the longest time that he spent inside the ring.
This was also his first points win, as he won all six previous matches via knockouts.
Singh was declared unanimous winner with a score of 98-92, 98-92, 100-90.
