Despite the government using all sorts of means to stop the students from using unfair practices during examinations, there have been umpteen reports of students in Bihar resorting to cheating at various levels.
In 2015, around 270 students were rusticated for indulging in unfair practices on the first day of the class 10 board exams, following which exams at four centers were cancelled by the government. Picture of students dangling on the windows of the exam center went viral.
In the month of February this year, 360 students in the state were expelled for using unfair means during state board exams. Around the same time, question papers and answers of Bihar Staff Selection Commission’s second phase exam were leaked on WhatsApp. And now, there are reports of 64 per cent students failing class 12 exams after strict checks on cheating were implemented.
Meanwhile, ANI News has tweeted a video in which students taking graduation exams in Bikramganj of Rohtas district in Bihar can be seen cheating openly.
