Varshil Jigarbhai Shah, a topper of class 12 (Commerce) in Gujarat Board has decided to give an entirely new direction to his life.
Unlike others who start their quest in finding admissions in the best colleges of the country, Varshil has decided to choose a less followed path — he has decided to take Diksha and has expressed zero interest in worldly pleasures.
Varshil has scored 99.99 percent and has got an A-1 grade. A resident of Ahmedabad, Darshil will take Diksha in Surat on June 8. He has not even gone to his school to collect his marksheet. He was keen to take Diksha since he was four years old, but after his cousin took Diksha, he became more certain about giving up worldly pleasures.
Belonging to a rich family, Varshil has always been a bright student. His father, Jigarbhai, is an income tax officer. His sister, Jainee, too, was a topper in class 12 boards. Despite the fact that he was always a bright student, his inclination has remained towards religious activities. He used to fast even during childhood.
Varshil aims to find happiness without hurting anyone and he believes that one cannot achieve satisfaction and happiness if he remains occupied in a job or a business. Getting affected by this, he has decided to take Diksha so that he can get eternal pleasure without causing any harm to anyone.
The boy has set a modern day example of dissing worldly pleasures for true happiness.
