Last month, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav ordered the suspension of three police officers accused of lathi-charging bank customers standing in a queue in the Fatehpur district. The chief minister said, “The job of the police is to help people who are troubled by demonetisation.”

Policeman smashing the typewriter of a 65-year-old typist
Kishan Kumar, a 65-year-old typist in Lucknow, used to sit with his old typewriter for the last 35 years outside the General Post Office in Lucknow. He earned barely Rs 50 by typing in Hindi on his old typewriter. Unexpectedly, Pradeep Kumar, a sub inspector, asked Kishan to vacate the spot. An irritated and arrogant cop, who is blinded by his power, abused Kishan, and threw away the typewriter. Kishan plead for mercy to the inspector, saying that it was his only source of income, but the policeman smashed it into pieces. The brutal act by the sub inspector was captured by a photojournalist. The picture went viral on the social media.

A police sub-inspector in Hardoi was suspended after a video clip went viral on social networking sites purportedly showing him getting massaged by a woman in the police station. Prima facie it was found that the woman belonging to Devria village used to prepare medicinal oil for massage and she had been called by Sanjay Yadav to give him massage in the police station.

A video of a UP police sub inspector getting a foot massage from a man became viral drawing outrage. SI Ram Yagya Yadav, posted at Mohanlalganj police station, was suspended by Senior Superintendent of Police Manjil Saini.
Harishankar Singh, a sub inspector in UP Police was found doing romance with a woman at Charbagh foot bridge. People said he also talked indecently with the woman.
