Valentine’s Day is around the corner and your heart must be racing just thinking about what to buy for the day. In contrast to the fact that some would be looking at the day to embark on a new journey, there are also many who often ask whether love and romance are really worth it, considering the pain they can cause. If a person has remained in an unsatisfying relationship, then Valentine’s Day would likely be full of disappointment. This also leads to a lot of grudges against one’s ex.
Now this news is certainly for those who are either single or have suffered heartbreaks. On this Valentine’s Day, a London zoo is offering you to take some petty revenge by christening a cockroach with your ex’s namesake.
In a statement, Hemsley Conservation Centre (HCC), UK, said,
“For those that don’t quite require revenge, there’s another way to make you feel better about getting back at your ex this Valentine’s Day.”
For a mere $2 (or Rs 143) you can name one of its insects whatever you want.
The person naming the cockroach will also receive a certificate that reads, “I’ve named a cockroach at the Hemsley Conservation Centre in the not so loving memory of my worthless ex.” In addition, through this certificate, the person can half-price entry into the zoo.
However, the UK zoo has decided to not name the person on the certificate which it believes will “fuel a fire.” In the message box, one can always add the name and some choice words about the break up there.
The name will also be displayed on HCC’s “roach board” at the insect’s enclosure. This means that whenever you need a reminder why you’re better off without your ex, you can visit the zoo.
The Facebook post by Hemsley Conservation Centre has gone viral on social media, and has received hilarious reactions. Check out some:
