India’s political scenario is at quite an interesting turn at this moment. The 2019 general elections are approaching closer and closer with the passage of time and all political parties are leaving no stone unturned to establish their dominance in the country. On May 15, all the eyes were on Karnataka election results but it turned out that no political party could secure a clear majority. The BJP emerged as the single largest party in the state with 104 seats, while Congress could secure 78 and JD(S) secured 38 seats. As a result, no party can make a government on its own.

However, Congress has extended its unconditional support to JD(S) which the latter has accepted and approached governor Vajubhai Vala to form the government. On the other hand, with the claim of emerging as the single largest party in polls, BJP too has approached the governor. Governor’s decision on the new government is yet to arrive and the entire nation is still speculating as to what is going to happen next.

Among those worried about the state of affairs in Karnataka election results is Bollywood actor Uday Chopra. Curious about politics in Karnataka, Uday Chopra sought Google’s help in finding out information about Karnataka’s governor and “discovered” that Vajubhai Vala is “BJP-RSS guy”. Uday Chopra shared this information in a tweet and also made an indirect prediction regarding Karnataka’s future government. Check out his tweet below:

Soon after Uday Chopra tweeted this, Twitterati did not take much time to mock him. They gave him a good lesson about how close Vajubhai Vala and PM Modi are. For the uninitiated, the two political leaders have a very healthy personal relationship.

In fact, in 2001, Vala had even vacated his Gujarat Assembly seat for Modi, the then first-time chief minister of Gujarat to contest his maiden election. Also, Vala is a hardcore follower of the RSS. In light of this, Uday’s tweet did not go well with Twitter users and here is how they relentlessly trolled the actor:

Following the trolling, Uday came up with his response to the trolls and tweeted this:

This is not the first time an actor’s ignorance about the state of affairs in the country has been highlighted. But do you think they deserve to be trolled for being uninformed? Do you think Uday Chopra was trolled for the right reason? Do share your views with us in the comments!
