Reports Claim UAE Government Seized Dawood Ibrahim’s Assets Worth Rs 15,000 Crore

Social media is abuzz with reports that suggest that the United Arabs Emirates had seized the properties of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

A news flash by ABP News said the UAE government has seized the fugitive’s assets worth Rs 15,000 crore.

So far a majority of mainstream media channels have stayed away from publishing this news, except news aggregators such as India Arising.

According to ABP, National Security Adviser Ajit Doval reportedly pursued the matter with UAE and requested the officials to act and seize Dawood’s property.

Zee Media also published a similar report that that claimed that Dawood has several properties, including hotels and shares in top rung companies in UAE. The media house further said that the UAE authorities have also sealed properties of Dawood in Dubai.

Besides Dubai, Dawood has investments in Morocco, Spain, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Thailand, Cyprus, Turkey, India, Pakistan and the United Kingdom.

After the UN confirmation of Dawood Ibrahim’s addresses in Pakistan, the Centre has said that it was incumbent upon Islamabad to extradite the global terrorist who has for long been provided sanctuary by Pakistan.
