Two soldiers were martyred when Pakistan fired rockets at a BSF post near Poonch in J&K.
Violating the ceasefire the eighth time in a month at the LoC, Pakistani forces targeted a forward defence location (FDL) post on Monday at around 8.30 am.

The army jawan was a JCO while the BSF soldier was a head constable. While the two attained martyrdom when their group was attacked during a patrolling, another soldier was critically wounded in the rocket shelling.
The Northern Command confirmed this in a press statement with a warning of appropriate response.

It has now emerged that the Pakistani forces beheaded the two Indian soldiers.

Paramjeet Singh was a naib subedar and Prem Sagar belonged to the BSF’s 200 Battalion. The soldier injured is Rajendra Singh.

Officials said that the violation happened in Krishnagati sector of Poonch. Besides rockets Pakistani forces also used automatic weapons.

They added that the Indian troops retaliated immediately.

Pakistan has been violating the ceasefire for a long time now. Time and again they have fired mortar shells from across the LoC.
Reports say that Pakistan violated the ceasefire along LoC on 228 instances in 2016. That same year they violated ceasefire 221 times along the international border.
