South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes, is certainly one of the most popular and loved cricketers of all time. His athleticism and dedication towards the game has inspired millions of cricketers, young and old. He delivered so many such Superman antics on the field that soon earned him a reputation for purely his fielding. A prominent name when it comes to fielding in cricketing arena, he dived, he lunged while patrolling the point-cover region throughout his career. Moreover, his swift and smart running between the wickets won his team several extra runs that were often described as the “game changers.”

Recently, the South African great, parted ways with Indian Premier League franchise Mumbai Indians as the cricketer wants to spend more time on his personal business ventures. Jonty has been an integral part of the champion outfit for nine seasons, since 2009, Mumbai Indians owner Akash Ambani termed his contribution as ‘invaluable’ and ‘unmeasurable in words’. According to Jonty, it was a remarkable journey with Mumbai Indians, something he’ll cherish all his life.

Rhodes had also named his daughter India in April 2015 and when asked why, he had said that he appreciated that India has a rich mix of culture, heritage and tradition.
