Remember Parthiv Patel?
The young, cute lad who made his Test debut back in 2002, becoming the youngest wicket-keeper in Test history at the age of just 17. Back then, many predicted his bright future in the Indian team. But, possibly being too naive led to his poor form and he was dropped from the national team very soon.
But, the boy didn’t give up. He persevered and consistently performed well in the domestic cricket. And now, tables have turned and after 8 long years of wait, he is back in the Indian Test squad, replacing the injured Wriddhiman Saha.
With all our hearts, we wish him good luck but you know how Twitterati is. They can ridicule anyone for the sake of laughter and fun. And that’s what they did, they welcomed him in their own mocking style.
They compared him with Dada:
Parthiv Patel makes a comeback. Apparently, he now has a test career spanning over 14 years, longer than that of Sourav Ganguly #IndvEngAdvertisement

Time played its dice:
Parthiv Patel made his Debut 3 years before Dhoni. Watched his whole career unfold. And is around to step in for his replacement. He’s 31

‘Parody’ Kejriwal is at it, again:
Parthiv Patel back in the Test squad after 8 years. Why was Rishabh Pant not given a chance? Modiji must answer.

Can you recall him now?
“Parthiv Patel? Who Parthiv Patel?
Oh! That wicket-keeper.
Now I recall him.”
Parthiv Patel recalled.

Parthiv Patel wasn’t considered for the first two tests because he was having exams in school. #INDvENG
