On January 18, the Supreme Court set aside the notification passed by the states of Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat against the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial Padmaavat. The apex court has also restrained all other states from issuing such a ban on the exhibition of the film starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor.

In order to mitigate the storm surrounding the release of the film, the Central Board of Film Certification decided to take the responsibility of mitigating the whole issue. The review committee of the CBFC and a special panel of historians recommended five modifications which have been incorporated by the filmmakers.

But despite all of these things done, the Shri Rajput Karni Sena isn’t satisfied. In a show of strength, the group earlier this week took out a massive rally in Dholpur in Rajasthan to demand a countrywide ban on Padmaavat.
