Australia is touring Bangladesh for a two-Test series. The visitors were defeated by the hosts in the first match by 20 runs.
In the second match, Australian off-spinner Nathan Lyon gained accreditation after he bagged an appreciative five wickets to stop Bangladesh at 253/6 on day one.
Lyon then compared Bangladeshi batsman Sabbir Rahman to Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli. Sabbir was the last wicket to be hauled by Lyon but a hard one at that, which reminded him of the Indian captain.

Lyon said, “Sabbir’s a good player, and he reminds me of Virat Kohli.” It is true that Rahman played exceptionally. He smashed 66 off 133 balls.
Clearly spurred by Lyon’s praise Sabbir responded to the comparison in an interview saying:
“I can become a batsman like Virat Kohli, everything is possible. There is no comparison between him and me because scoring runs for the team count other than anything else.”
And that’s it. Poor Sabbir would never have imagined that he would become a butt of jokes for his statement on Twitter.

How many 100s have u scored in tests? 0, what’s your batting average? Making one fast 50 on home soil doesn’t make u Kohli #SabbirRahman

These taunts prove that the cricket lovers do consider Kohli better than Sabbir. And why not? Kohli struck his 30th hundred in ODIs securing the second place with great Australian batsman Ricky Ponting in all-time century makers list a couple of days ago. Sabbir, on the other hand, has played 43 ODIs without hitting a single century and just 5 half-centuries.
