Like many celebrities and sportsmen of the day, Harbhajan Singh is also quite frequent on social media. The senior Indian off-spinner takes to his Twitter account quite often to present his views on various matters, cheering for the Indian cricket team and also sharing facets of his personal life with his fans. So he took to his Twitter account to post a photo of himself practicing in the net ahead of a Ranji Trophy match, where he is representing Punjab.

While this was just a regular act for Harbhajan, certain Twitter user took it upon themselves to slam the senior Indian off-spiner for not getting any more chance to play in the International team. One user asked the “turbanator” not to make fool of himself any more by sharing such photographs as his days of International cricket are just over and gone.

Here’s what Harbhajan tweeted:

Replying to this, the said user with the username Noel Smith wrote:

As the saying goes “U can’t teach an old dog new tricks” Bhajji ur best days r over realise it n call it a day.Retire with grace from international cricket.Dont make a fool of iurself like some of ur predecessors.is all I can say. (sic)

It is to be remembered that the last time Harbhajan wore the Indian jersey was last year in a T20I match against UAE. But he has not been in any Test or ODI match since 2015.

However, knowing that Harbhajan is not among the ones to keep mum and accept needless negative remarks, he slammed the Twitter critic in his own style. He wrote:

Old dog like u can only bark..so plz continue to do that.this is what u have learn I think all ur life..you have already lost the battle coz u have given up on learning new things.everyday there is new thing to learn. Provided we want to learn.dont teach others ur ways.

While Noel Smith did not dare to reply to this message by Bhajji, it is clear from the replies to Harbhajan’s second tweet that he has won all of Twitter’s heart. Here’s a glimpse of what Twitterati had to say:

It is to be noted here that Harbhajan Singh has been one of India’s most powerful off-spinner, bagging 417 wickets in 103 Test matches and 269 wickets in 236 ODIs. He has been part of 28 T20Is and has 25 wickets to his name.
