There has always a race between passengers to book the lower berths or middle berths for convenience. Earlier many people who used to get the lower berths behaved liked the kings of the seats. You must have faced a situation where passengers fight over sleeping arrangements in trains. But, don’t worry anymore because Indian Railways have come up with a solution. The department has reduced the sleeping time of the passengers and now, the passengers in the reserved coaches who book the middle, lower, side lower berths can only sleep from 10 pm to 6 am.
The department says that they have been informed about the quarrels between the passengers on sleeping timings in the trains and to avoid that, this is the solution they have thought of.
The railway department issued a circular on August 31 that says,
Sleeping accommodation between 2200 hours and 0600 hours and sitting accommodation for the rest of the period is provided for the passengers in the reserved coaches having sleeping accommodation.
However, there are some exceptions as well.
Passengers are, however, requested to cooperate with the sick, persons with disability, and pregnant ladies in case they want to sleep beyond permissible limits.
Unfortunately, some people are not really pleased with the solution. The all-time sleep lovers on Twitter are trolling the Indian Railways with hilarious tweets. Check out some of the best reactions.
No matter the Department of Railway keeps sleeping all the time but Passengers should not sleep….!
