The captivating parts of any successful TV series are its characters who feel utterly believable. We want them to come alive and are the main reasons why we love any TV series. Even when they are gone, we love to see them in the re-runs. Some of the most marvellous characters that we all love include:

1. Sheldon Lee Cooper

3. Hannibal Lecter

Dr. Lecter is a brilliant forensic psychiatrist. He is also a serial killer and a cannibal, preparing the meat of his victims into tasty dishes for himself and serving them to unsuspecting guests. Although being a murderer and a cannibal, his gentlemanly skills and astonishing intellect makes us adore him.


4. Barney Stinson

Barney Stinson is Ted’s wingman, a Casanova, a magician and most importantly, he’s awesome.  His unique personality is a source of humour and amazement.


5. Charles Francis “Charlie” Harper

He drinks and sleeps with different women almost every day, and then wakes up the next morning ready to do it all over again. His carefree attitude and ingenious sarcasms makes us giggle.

Former chemist and a chemistry teacher, makes meth with ex-student to earn money. In desperation he lies, deceits and commits many crimes. You can’t help but love him.

His excellent dialogue delivery and charming attitude is jaw dropping. He’s a ‘consultant’ detective who calls himself a ‘high functioning sociopath. He has no interest in emotions, nevertheless we all love him.

A structural engineer who puts everything on the stake to save his wrongly accused brother. His determination and planning makes us admire him.


12. Jon Snow

Jon, the bastard son of Lord Eddard Stark of Winterfell, is mature and perceptive beyond his age. His clear moral compass and a true sense of honour, makes him appealing.
