Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet US President Donald Trump on his trip to Washington later this year.

In a telephonic conversation with the PM, the US President congratulated Modi on his party’s recent victory in the state elections.
Trump also emphasized the great respect he has for people of India and expressed his support for country’s economic reform agenda.

Trump said that he is looking forward to hosting Modi in White House when the latter visits the US later this year.

This comes as no surprise since the Indian PM was among the first international leaders to congratulate Trump on his victory in US elections in November last year.
