Sanjay Dutt‘s daughter from his first wife Richa Sharma, Trishala Dutt, is a doctor in US. Once, the actor had said, “I would have broken her legs if she chose acting. The 30-year-old gorgeous woman has lived away from her famous father, but is a successful woman in her own right. Trishala not only stayed away from limelight, but didn’t even find a mention in her father’s biopic ‘Sanju‘.
Sanjay‘s series of romantic affairs may be difficult to capture, but Rajkummar Hirani did a fine job. However, he failed to show Trishala or her mother’s role in this 2-hour-42-minute film. It did mention his mother Nargis, though.
‘Sanju‘ clearly showed Sanjay Dutt’s ex-girlfriends whom he wanted to marry (played by Sonam Kapoor), and also his current wife Maanyata Dutt (played by Dia Mirza).

Sanjay’s first wife Richa Sharma and Trishala were completely ignored in ‘Sanju’, whereas these two women got portrayed.
Richa Sharma, who Sanjay met as a thriving actress, was an integral part of his life, as was Trishala.
Sanjay and Trishala Dutt’s mother were married in 1987 and Richa didn’t pursue her Bollywood career as Nargis gave up for Sunil Dutt.
However, Richa got cancer, a little over a year of their marriage. Sanjay returned to India to continue his film commitments, leaving behind Trishala Dutt, in New York.
When in 1992, a cancer-free Richa returned to Sanjay, had already moved on with actress and co-star Madhuri Dixit!
Richa died in 1996 due to brain cancer and left behind Trishala, who shared this post for her beautiful late mother:
In 2007, Trishala Dutt famously wrote an open letter to her father, requesting him not to marry more women!
Sanjay Dutt’s biopic may have kept his daughter out of the script, but she shares a loving bond with him. Whether it’s Father’s Day or any occasion, she and Sanjay share pictures on social media. Have a look at some of them:
