Known Kollywood actress Trisha Krishnan on January 14 slammed Jallikattu supporters for targeting her and her family and asked if disrespecting a woman is the “Tamilian” way?

Trisha, who was shooting for her thriller movie Garjanai on January 13 had to pack up and leave after an angry mob started to protest against her for endorsing PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, who in 2014 has obtained the ban against the traditional sport of Jallikattu for animal cruelty.
While thanking Tamil Nadu police for all their support, Trisha slammed the mob and said she never said anything against the sport.

She was targetted by a mob in Nemathanpatti near Karaikudi after a mob learned that she was shooting there.
The mob then went on to hold up the shooting forcing Trisha to pack up and leave for Madurai as the police felt that there was a threat to her life.
After reaching home late at night, Trisha took to Twitter to express her anger and clarify her stand.
Jallikattu is a bull taming sport that is practiced in Tamil Nadu during the festival of Pongal.
