Horror movies are a treat to watch. Not only do they scare you with their ideas of abominations and ghosts but they are also well made with the effects brought to life. We all remember a time in our childhood when we were actually scared of watching a horror movie. A good horror movie comes with a realistic ghost or monster that leaves the thoughts in our heads that the horrors may exist in real life too. These movies are all made with a purpose to scare people and most of them do that job very well. Here we look at some of the top ten horror movies of all time.

10. Ringu:

A 1998 Japanese film by Hideo Nakata, this is one of the scarier movies that you will ever see. A mysterious tape that kills whoever watches it has surfaced and people who watch it die mysteriously. In this film, the youngest daughter of a family comes across a dead channel on TV from where communication with the supernatural is made possible. Hellraiser is one of the best series of horror films ever made. The story revolves around mysterious beings which come about when a puzzle box is played with. A couple move into an apartment that has come kind of a history and strange things start happening as the movie moves on to a chilling phase. The central character, Rosemary goes through a lot of weird dreams, visions and sees many a disturbing act. It’s all very creepy and looks very real.

The Omen is very well known among horror fans, this film shares a great fan following around the world and for the right reasons. It is one of the scariest films you ever watch. A child who takes birth in a normal and happy family has many thing strange about him. The child is the son of the devil and wants to take over the world, anyone who tries to come close is killed in some way or another.

The following exorcism reveals the true nature of the spirits inside her and the horrors only then strike some people in many ways.
