There are a number of extremely violent instances of human bombing in recorded history. Most of these incidents took place because a group or individual swore revenge. Such dastardly acts have resulted in the death of hundreds of women, children and men all over the world. On some occasions, cases of human bombings even spiraled into full blown riots. 10. Attempt to assassinate the governor in Philippines:
A suicide bomber blew himself up in the busy airport area of Zamboanga in the south of Philippines on August 4, 2010. This suicide bombing resulted in the death of many and injury of around 14 people present at the airport when the explosion took place. The main motive behind the suicide bombing was to assassinate the local governor. Also, the conspirators intended to destabilize the peace in the region.

9. Attack on Algerian Military Academy:
Suicide bombers killed around 18 people on August 26, 2011. The high-intensity human bombing took place near the Algerian Military Academy. Around 20 injured were injured in total. As per the official records, suicide bombers struck when the soldiers at the academy, situated in the Cherchell town of Algeria were getting ready to break their Ramadan fast. Sixteen of the 18 people dead were soldiers.

8. Attack on Israeli Tourist Bus in Bulgaria:
At least seven people were killed and around thirty seriously injured when a suicide bomber exploded himself near the bus carrying Israeli tourists to hotels in Bulgaria. The Israeli Government accused Hezbollah of carrying out this ghastly act of terror and impressed upon the statement that it warned the Bulgarian authorities about the probability of such attack even in the past.

7. Suicide Bomber Storms Russian Airport:
A suicide bomber killed around 35 people and injured 150 others at one of the busiest airports of Russia on January 23, 2011. The total causalities reported included many foreigners who were believed to be touring around the country. As per Russian authorities, this bombing was the act of Islamic rebel groups, fighting for a separate state.

6. Faryab Human Bombing:
Another ghastly incident of human bombing took place in the Faryab province of Afghanistan. People had gathered to observe peace and pay respect to the annual pilgrimage to Mecca when a huge explosion took away scores of human lives and caused causalities on a large scale. As per data released by the government, there were more than 40 causalities and 50 persons were injured after the explosion took place.

5. Mosque Bombed in Sri Lanka:
At least 20 people were killed including the Sri Lankan telecom minister and more than 35 others injured, when a suicide bomber attacked a mosque in the city of Akuressa, south of Colombo. There was a huge gathering to celebrate an Islamic holiday when this unfortunate incident happened. Many top government officials were also present at the function. The government later accused LTTE for plotting and executing the terrorist attack.

4. Indian Embassy, Kabul:
On July 7, 2008 during the early morning hours, a suicide bomber carried out a terror attack on the Indian embassy in Kabul. This incident resulted in a large number of causalities. The bomb explosion was so intense that it killed around 58 people and 141 were injured. The whole region was in a shock after the incident. 3. Bombers Target Christians in Nigeria:
At least 100 people were killed and many injured when a suicide bomber targeted a huge gathering in the Catholic Church, north of Nigeria. This bombing sent shockwaves of fear among the people in the region. 2. The Lahore Massacre:
The infamous Lahore Massacre occurred on May 28, 2010 in Pakistan. People had gathered to offer prayers at two mosques when the incident took place. 1. Assassination of Rajiv Gandhi:
The former Indian PM was assassinated in a small town called Sriperumbudur near Chennai in 1991. Rajiv Gandhi was campaigning for the Congress party during the general elections in a huge rally organized by the Congress party workers.
