Tiyo Satrio is a 12-year-old boy who lives with his family in Panawangan, West Java, Indonesia. But he is unlike any other boy of his age.
Tiyo was born without arms and legs. If that makes you feel sorry for him then don’t be because Tiyo can do what, perhaps, even you can’t – play video games and beat opponents.
The boy is an expert at playing games on PlayStation. He is addicted to the console and can be seen whiling his time happily away on his PlayStation.
Tiyo attends the local school in Panawangan and the teachers say that he is good at studies.
His parents take pride in Tiyo’s performance at school. His mother, Mimi, was not told of his condition even after his birth. Her heart sank when she first learned of her child’s condition but she accepted it and adjusted herself to the reality.
His mother’s love and support worked wonders for Tiyo and turned him into a always happy kid.
There were some initial hiccups at school, but Tiyo won over his friends and is now treated like any other child.
His parents, however, cannot leave Tiyo alone. They used to receive state funding but that has stopped.
Tiyo has four other elder siblings but they live across Indonesia.
