Pramod Sharma, the complainant, told the SSP that he had organized the India Fashion and Beauty Award program on September 30, 2018, in Delhi for which he paid the amount to Sonakshi but she never came to be part of the show. The complaint was filed with the senior superintendent of police of Moradabad’s Katghar area.

He spent Rs 9 lakh more on the accommodation and travel of the actress and commission of two event companies associated with Sonakshi. However, Sonakshi did not show up at the event. The company claims that the spectators present at the show were so annoyed at the actress’ absence that they vandalized the venue.

The report also claims that Sonakshi had already released promotional videos of the award show after accepting the payment. However, on the day of the show, she canceled her visit.
