Bollywood stars are no alien to controversies and at times the matter becomes legal. The recent one at the receiving end is the Dabangg girl Sonakshi Sinha. If you remember in November last year there was an FIR filed against the actress for fraud amounting to Rs 37 lakh. According to a report, there was a complaint against Sonakshi Sinha that she took the money for a show but never came to attend it. Now the case of fraud against Sonakshi Sinha is catching momentum. The Moradabad Police has sent a legal notice to the actress.
Investigation officer CO Katghar Sudesh Gupta said that Sonakshi and other accused have been asked to represent their sides soon. Pramod Sharma, the complainant, told the SSP that he had organized the India Fashion and Beauty Award program on September 30, 2018, in Delhi for which he paid the amount to Sonakshi but she never came to be part of the show. The complaint was filed with the senior superintendent of police of Moradabad’s Katghar area.
Reportedly, Pramod Sharma paid Sonakshi Rs 28.17 lakh in June 2018 to perform at the company’s award show. He spent Rs 9 lakh more on the accommodation and travel of the actress and commission of two event companies associated with Sonakshi. However, Sonakshi did not show up at the event. The company claims that the spectators present at the show were so annoyed at the actress’ absence that they vandalized the venue.
