Three days after LeT terrorists ambushed a CRPF convoy killing eight security personnel, terrorists reportedly barged into the home of BJP leader Ghulam Mohammad Chopan in J&K.
According to reports, around four terrorists entered his house in Chadoora of Budgam district on Tuesday morning and snatched an AK-56 service rifle from his personal security guard.
Chopan was reportedly at home at the time of the incident. The guard, Constable Bashir Ahmad, was on duty at the time of the incident.
The terrorists fled the scene immediately after snatching the rifle, triggering a massive search operation in the area.
Chadoora is just 24 kilometres from Pampore, the site of the June 25 terrorist attack.
Besides those martyred, 20 soldiers were injured. Security forces had at the time shot dead two terrorists in retaliatory firing. Arms and ammunition including 2 AK-47 Rifles, 11 hand grenades were also recovered from the killed terrorists.
Today, June 28, security forces gunned down a Hizbul Mujahideen local commander in Kupwara district.
