Storms have caused huge damage in different parts of the world, but in Netherlands, they are at their worst. People of Netherlands are facing dreadful storms with wind blowing at the speed of 140 km per hour. Due to this people are literally getting blown away.
It is so windy in Netherlands that people are not able to balance themselves when walking on roads are being carried away by the wind.
In fact, not only people but even the heavy vehicles like trucks are being blown away by the storm. Even the roofs and roadside toilets are being swept away by this outrageous wind. It has crippled the public transport system. A number of trees and bill boards too have been blown away.
Hundreds of flights have been cancelled and reportedly, three people have died so far because of this storm. Two people have been crushed under falling trees. Owing to the severe weather condition, a code red, the highest level weather alert of the country was announced by the weather service on January 18.
Some parts of northern Europe are also facing similar weather conditions. In Germany, six deaths because of the storm have been reported.
Shocking footages of storm in Netherlands have surfaced on the internet. In one of the clips, a cyclist loses his balance and is blown across the road. These videos also show walkers getting dragged across the roads. Watch some of these footages below:
