After much speculation, deputy chief minister of Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav has finally decided not to oblige the opposition’s demand for his resignation. And a few hours after this announcement, he wrote a Facebook post that has caused a huge stir on the social media platform.
In his post, (translated into English), Tejashwi Yadav says that he is dependent on the public, dedicated to development, has no love for honor, is not afraid of insults, holds interest of the public as his first priority, and has the poor as his crown.
Here is the Facebook post by Tejashwi Yadav:
Many people could not handle Yadav’s opinion and made sarcastic, critical and funny comments, while some came up in support of the young politician. Here are some of the comments:
As far as Tejashwi Yadav’s resignation is concerned, he has refused to give up his responsibility as the deputy chief minister of Bihar. This can be a turning point for the present alliance in Bihar, formed by three parties, Rashtriya Janta Dal, Congress and Janta Dal (United).
According to media reports, Tejashwi’s boss, chief minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar is already upset with his decision of refusing to step down. Kumar is expected to make any comments on the scandal by the Yadavs in his meeting with JDU on Tuesday. As of now, he had been ailing with fever and therefore was on rest, which is being considered as the reason of his prolonged silence on the issue.
Surprisingly, this Facebook post is a huge contrast to what Yadav has recently become quite popular for. He along with his father, Rashtriya Janta Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and mother Rabri Devi have been charged with cases of corruption by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Directorate of Enforcement (ED). It is reported that the three have together accumulated property of over Rs. 1000 crore through improper allocation of tenders during Lalu Prasad Yadav’s tenure as the Railway Minister.
