According to news reports, the Tata Group is planning to hire Pepsico CEO Indra Nooyi, as their next chairman with Tata International MD Noel Tata being another top contender on their list.
The news comes in just days after former chairman Cyrus Mistry was removed from his post.

Pepsico’s Indra Krishnamurthy Nooyi, who is better known as Indra Nooyi has been part of the Pepsico Group since 1994 and became its CFO back in 2001.
She moved on to become company’s CEO in 2006 and under her leadership the company has gone on to become the second-largest food and beverage business in the world.

Since 2007-08 she has consistently ranked among the World’s 100 Most Powerful Women and is the only ‘Indian-origin’ woman in Fortune’s 51 Most Powerful Women list.
Though Nooyi is currently on top of Tata’s contender list, there are also other names under consideration who are equally impressive.
This list also includes Arun Sarin, former Vodafone CEO, plus Noel Tata of Tata International, N Chandrasekaran who is TCS CEO and Ishaat Hussain and B. Muthuraman who are both from Tata Group.
