Actress Tanushree Dutta has started a new wave of #MeToo in Bollywood. The actress has made strong allegations against Nana Patekar, who is otherwise known for his great work in the Indian cinema. Tanushree has alleged that the actor sexually assaulted her and even called people of a political group, who vandalized her car, while Tanushree was there at the sets of the 2008 film ‘Horn Ok Pleassss’. She has claimed that Nana Patekar called the members of the Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) to appal her.
As per a report, Tanushree claimed recently that the members of the party suddenly appeared at the film set and attacked her car, while she was inside it. Tanushree has explained that they broke the car’s windshield and tried to create a situation of chaos.
This is what Tanushree said:
“They attacked our car and broke the windshield. This was happening in full view of hundreds of mediapersons and channels. It’s documented.”
And now, the video of Tanushree’s car being attacked is going viral on the internet. A man wearing an orange T-shirt can be seen striking the car violently. He is seen hitting on the windshield and deflating the tyres of the car.
The man has been identified as Pawan Bharadwaj and was a cameraperson with a Hindi news channel. The man has claimed that he was not asked by Nana Patekar to smash the car and had nothing to do with him. This is what he said:
“I was asked by the assignment desk to go for a shoot at Filmistan studio that day. I went with our reporter Tejal Mehta to do the story at Filmistan, I did not have any idea what the story was or who was involved in it. We waited for the actors to exit the shooting floor, and as soon as we saw Tanushree Dutta and her father emerge, I started rolling my camera.”
He added further:
“Tanushree’s team attacked our reporter Tejal and then her father snatched my camera from my hand and slammed it on the ground, my camera broke from the front and back.”
He has further claimed that Tanushree Dutta and her father were in a hurry and their car ran over his feet after which he fainted.
“I almost fainted, the bystanders sprinkled water on my face and I revived myself and realized that their car had been stopped near the exit gate by a crowd. I was angry that my camera had been destroyed, I was worried about my job and so I demanded a compensation, but they did not listen to me, so I started hitting the car with my camera in frustration.”
Tanushree Dutta said that Nana Patekar’s team has made up this story to hide the truth. She further stated that this is a lie and other old footages must be gone through for the sake of the truth.
