Just when you thought Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati (Yes, he is the same man who blamed the drought in Maharashtra on the worship of Saibaba) couldn’t get any more bizarre, he proved us all wrong.
The 92-year-old Swami said that the 2013 flash floods in Kedarnath were caused by the ‘unholy things’ done by honeymooners.
He made this statement during his ongoing 16-day trip to Haridwar.
Okay! Let’s take a deep breath first.
Now, What?? Really?
The 2013 Uttarakhand floods, which claimed more than 6,000 lives, was called as ‘man-made disaster’.
In the state, Deoli-Brahmgram village alone witnessed 70 deaths – leaving behind over 60 widows and giving it the ‘Village of Widows’ tag.
But, sadly, who will explain this to Swami Ji! You, right?
