Dictator Adolf Hitler once said, “to conquer a nation, disarm its citizens”. Taking the words of this infamous leader, it also means that the citizens are the true strength of a nation. It won’t be wrong to say, in this context, a little bit of contribution from each citizen can make a nation great! For instance, if we take the Swachh Bharat mission then it will be an absolute success if every Indian decided to do their part responsibly. Well, this 7-year-old girl is one such young citizen of the country who takes her responsibilities towards her nation seriously.
Hanifa Zaara is a student of class 2 who went to an All Women’s Police Station in Ambur, Tamil Nadu with the demand that police should intervene in the problem she is facing.
Are you confused where this story is going? Well, let us break the suspense!
This is a story of a young girl who approached the police with a complaint against her father. It seems that he promised to build a toilet in their house but never fulfilled it.
Little Hanifa went to the police station with her mother who previously tried to deter her from taking this step. At the station, she claimed that her father made a promise that he will build a toilet if she tops in her LKG examination. She topped the exam and went on to do so for the next two years but never got her toilet.
Frustrated, she decided to take the help of the authorities. As the news states, she wanted the police to arrest her father for not keeping the promise or get an assurance that he will build a toilet. She actually wrote a letter explaining everything.
In school, she is taught about Swachh Bharat mission and she wants to be a part of it in the best possible way. Also, she was ashamed to defecate outside in open. So, she took this step. Kudos!
Naturally, as the news spread people couldn’t help but applaud the courage and determination of young Hanifa. Ambur Municipality Commissioner also announced her as the brand ambassador for the Swachh Bharat mission in that area.
Appreciatively, the local body also took up the charge for construction of the toilet. Actually, her father is not at fault as he started building the toilet but was unable to complete it due to monetary constrains.
The authorities decided that she will be presented with a certificate of honor. It will be presented to her at a function that her school is organizing.
The netizens couldn’t stop their praising for this Hanifa who showed her bravery. Check out what they said:

I’ve had situations when no toilet was available. And let me just say it wasn’t waiting for anybody. It wasn’t much fun, and I could only imagine if somebody was watching. This young girl got the attention of the world. Now she and others will have 🚽 yeah.
