Sushma Swaraj, known for her prompt response in helping people in distress, has yet again stepped in to save a precious life – this time a four-day-old baby.
The baby (Om Sharma), born to Devesh and Vandana Sharma on January 23, was diagnosed with rare heart ailment, Transposition of Greater Arteries (TGA).

According to doctor Pankaj Lal, his veins are entangled and pure and impure blood was getting mixed.
Om needed surgery urgently, but no doctors agreed to help them. He also had a breathing problem, and was battling to stay alive.

On January 25, his maternal uncle Dushyant Dwivedi tweeted about the boy’s condition, and tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Health Minister J P Nadda.
“I had tweeted only to Prime Minister (Narendra Modi) and Health Minister (Jagat Prakash Nadda) but I am grateful to Sushma Swaraj because she responded to it,” Sharma said.
However, it is a surprise that it was not Nadda who first responded to the tweet, but Sushma Swaraj.
