‘Dangal’ girl, Zaira Wasim, had to post an apology after getting trolled and criticized for meeting J&K Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti. Zaira Wasim, a 16-year-old child artist who has received accolades for her performance in 2016’s biggest blockbuster ‘Dangal’ apologized through her verified Facebook account.
This was the apology that she posted. Though, it has now been deleted.
Zaira apologized for being called as a “role model for Kashmiri youth”, she even expressed that it was her fault for meeting certain people whom she shouldn’t. Though her apology received some really harsh comments but there are people who came in support for the ‘Dangal’ girl as well.
Syed Ata Hasnain, a retired Three-Star General of the Indian Army showed his support for Zaira Wasim in a series of tweets.
Nation needs to solidly stand behind Zaira Waseem.I haven’t seen Dangal yet but will. Girl child needs to be respected instead of trolled.

He even urged the nation to stand in support of Zaira Wasm. Also, he said that threats to Zaira are threats to the children of Kashmir and hence Kashmir should also stand for her!

The former Indian army officer explained that Zaira is a role model to many and hence she should not apologize for it.

The reason behind Zaira posting and deleting such apology is still unknown. But, speculations are going around that Zaira came under some pressure and took the step.
